Hiking and walking trails are a wonderful way to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air! Hiking and walking are available to do solely or with other individuals. Plan to visit these two nearby trails which are fairly close to Lake Cypress Springs.


Lake Bob Sandlin Trails


Although these trails are not directly on Lake Cypress Springs, they are close. The Lake Bob Sandlin Trails are located at 341 State Park Road 2117 in Pittsburg, Texas. They are part of the Texas State Park system for the community.


The trails are multi-use unless indicated otherwise in specific areas of the trail. The trails offer a variety of benefits including viewing a wide range of plants and trees. Hikers will enjoy seeing wildlife in their natural habitat.


There are five different hiking and walking trails offered at Lake Bob Sandlin Trails. The Lakeview Loop is a little over a half-mile long. The typical walk takes approximately thirty minutes. The Brim Pond Trail is around one-fourth of a mile and only takes twenty minutes to walk the trail.


Homestead Trail is another trail that is near one-half mile. This trail is easily enjoyable for those desiring approximately one-half hour of trail walking. Dogwood Trail is another favorite for visitors which is one and one-half miles in length. Dogwood Cutoff is also available which is around one-fourth of a mile in length.


Daingerfield State Park Trails


The Daingerfield State Park Trails is another option for those visiting the Lake Cypress Springs area. This hiking and walking trail is located at 455 Park Road 17 in Daingerfield, Texas. Enjoy taking a relaxing walk through the piney wood’s paradise.


Two walking and hiking trails are offered at this state park location. The first is the Rustling Leaves Trail which is nearly two and a half miles in length. The difficultly level for this trail is easy so many will enjoy the walk through this beautiful area.


The second trail offered at Daingerfield State Park is the Mountain View Trail. This walk or hike is around one and one-fourth mile long. This trail is challenging and should be enjoyed by those with more experience in demanding trails.
